Shaping jade by hand for three generations

Mountain Jade is home to the largest collection of jade art and jewellery in New Zealand. Discover how we handcraft jade.

On our FREE Discovery tour, you’ll meet New Zealand’s finest jade artists and see them at work transforming jade into art.

We are a family of carvers who have dedicated our lives to crafting jade, by hand, here in New Zealand. Craft is at the heart of everything we do, from the selection of the raw stone through to the final finishing touches. All of our pieces are made using the finest quality jade from New Zealand and around the world. From humble beginnings, we have grown into a recognised leader in the art of pounamu with stores in Rotorua, Hokitika and Auckland Airport.
